Curry Chef & Tandoori ChefAbout the Role
We are seeking experienced Indian chefs who are passionate about authentic cuisine and thrive in a fast-paced commercial kitchen. The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing high-quality food while maintaining consistency, efficiency, and the highest food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian curries and tandoori dishes.
- Ensure consistent food quality and presentation.
- Maintain excellent hygiene and food safety standards.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Assist with stock control and minimise food wastage.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a busy commercial kitchen (Indian restaurant experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Indian spices, traditional cooking techniques, and authentic recipes.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality food.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to successfully complete a practical cooking test as part of the recruitment process.
Front of House StaffAbout the Role
We are looking for energetic, customer-focused team members who enjoy working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and are committed to providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and seat customers.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately.
- Serve food and drinks professionally.
- Operate the POS system and process payments.
- Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service.
- Deliver a positive dining experience for every guest.
Essential Requirements
- Previous hospitality experience is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, professional, and well-presented.
- Ability to multitask in a busy restaurant environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- RSA Certificate is preferred (or willingness to obtain one).
