The primary purpose of this role is to provide administrative and operational support across the school administration function. The position supports the effective operation of these functions by undertaking established administrative processes, maintaining accurate records and documentation, providing first aid support, and assisting the school to meet relevant Department of Education requirements.
The role operates within established Department and school policies, procedures and guidelines, with direction and support provided by the Office Manager, Business Manager and Principal Team.
Key responsibilities include:
Support coordination of the day-to-day routine operations of the school office in accordance with established procedures, priorities and school policies.
Respond to telephone, front-office and student enquiries, including issuing late passes and processing routine paperwork, mail and deliveries.
Accurately enter, maintain and retrieve student, staff, enrolment and administrative records using the school¿s information systems.
Prepare routine correspondence, form letters and other school communications.
Compile information and prepare basic reports and documentation to support administrative functions (basic use of Microsoft Excel is preferred).
Support routine purchasing, requisitioning and stock-control processes.
Organise meetings and assist with school events and activities, including approved activities outside ordinary hours, where required (attendance at those events is not necessarily required).
Support the school¿s first aid arrangements and provide first aid within the employee¿s training and school procedures.
Handle personal, health and other sensitive information confidentially and appropriately.
Undertake other duties appropriate to the Education Support Class Level 1, Range 2 classification, as directed by the Principal, Business Manager or Office Manager.
