About the Role
As a Labour Standards Analyst, you will play a key role in maintaining and evolving the labour models that support how Coles deploys its workforce across our store network.
You will help ensure our existing labour standards and workforce planning models remain accurate and reflective of how stores operate today, while also developing new modelling to support future operating models and initiatives through the Future Stores Program.
You will
- Maintain, review and improve existing labour standards and workforce planning models
- Build/update labour models to support initiatives, operating model changes and new processes
- Use store knowledge, data and operational insights to create tangible, practical outputs that support workforce deployment decisions
- Ensure workforce planning systems accurately reflect store processes, work requirements and productivity expectations
- Apply a structured and well-documented approach to modelling, validation and process design
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand operational changes and identify downstream impacts across different areas of the store
- Translate complex information into clear, practical insights that can be easily understood and applied
About you and your skills
We’re looking for someone with strong store operations experience who is curious, adaptable and keen to develop their analytical and modelling capability. You’ll enjoy understanding how stores work, solving problems and using data to turn operational knowledge into practical solutions.|
You will have
- Strong experience in store operations, with a good understanding of store processes, workload and how different departments interact
- The ability to quickly understand new concepts, processes and ways of working
- A structured and process-driven approach, with strong attention to accuracy, documentation and consistency
- Strong problem-solving and systems thinking skills, including the ability to identify how a change in one area may impact other parts of the store
- Confidence working with numbers and data to identify trends, test assumptions and support decisions
- Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills (experience with SQL, Power Query or Power BI is advantageous, but not essential)
- The ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
- A willingness to learn, embrace change and adapt as priorities and requirements evolve
