Disability Support Worker – South Adelaide
About the Role
We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, and motivated Disability Support Worker to join our team in the southern suburbs of Adelaide. This role involves providing person-centred support to individuals living with disability, assisting them to achieve their goals, maintain independence, and actively participate in their community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support in accordance with individual support plans.
- Assist participants with community access, social activities, and appointments.
- Attend and remain present during medical appointments unless otherwise directed.
- Promote participant choice, dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
- Support participants with daily living activities as required.
- Monitor and report incidents, health concerns, risks, and behavioural changes promptly.
- Complete accurate progress notes and documentation following each shift.
- Maintain professional boundaries at all times.
- Follow all organisational policies, procedures, and NDIS Practice Standards.
- Ensure participant confidentiality and privacy are maintained.
- Do not share personal information, belongings, money, keys, or valuables with participants.
- Keep personal belongings secure while on shift.

Essential Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- Valid Driver's Licence
- Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Smartphone with internet access
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional, reliable, and compassionate approach to support work
Desirable
- Experience working in the disability sector
- Medication Administration Training
- Manual Handling Training
- Mental Health or Behaviour Support experience

Pay: $32.88 – $65.00 per hour
