About the role:
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Receptionist or Administration Officer with experience in the medical industry to join us on a full time basis. Monday to Friday flexible roster, with occasional weekend shifts available.
Duties and responsibilities:
This role will see you working collaboratively with both the administrative and clinical teams, as well as liaising with our 3 Support Offices. You will:
- Ensure a high level of patient and visitor care, acting as the first point of contact for the hospital
- Ensure all admission and discharge documentation is accurately recorded
- Ensure all patient accounts are invoiced, receipted and reconciled
- Manage theatre bookings and ensure lists are distributed accordingly
- Liaise with Health Funds and complete checks
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety and excellence across all areas of the hospital
About You:
You have a genuine passion for providing world-class customer service and patient care, and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
- Experience in an administrative role within a medical, healthcare or hospital setting
- A high level of computer / technical skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Patient Management Software
- Experience in FYDO or SimDay desirable but not essential
- An understanding of the Private Health Insurance system
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with patients, doctors and staff
- Solid time management, organisational and communication skills

Bondi Junction Private Hospital is a boutique, purpose-built hospital with modern facilities, specialising in a range of specialties including Ophthalmology, ENT Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery, Moh’s, General Surgery, and IVF. Our hospital includes 4 operating theatres, a Day Surgery Unit and a 7 bed overnight ward.
