We are seeking for motivated and reliable mature individual who is physically fit and permanent residents or on LONG TERM VISAS who are over 30 years of age.
Shifts are afternoon : 4pm to 6pm availability is a must - Monday and another day in the week.
The role involves support a young boy in primary school after school with playing and personal care , such as shower, changing nappy and dressing him as well as feeding and giving him medication. The shift also includes assisting with Cleaning up after eating. The successful candidate I'll get 2 interviews , one with Mambo Services and the other with the family to be deemed a suitable candidate.
Must have the following:
- Experience with Non-Verbal Clients: Proven ability to effectively engage and support non-verbal clients.
- Empathy and Communication Skills: Strong people skills, demonstrating empathy and excellent communication abilities.
- Experience with Cerebral Palsy: Practical experience in working with clients who have cerebral palsy.
- Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Highly adaptable with strong problem-solving skills.
- Go Getter and can think outside of the box
- Experience with Epilepsy: Experience in supporting clients with epilepsy.
- Experience with Personal Care and showering: carers with experience encouraged to apply
- Competence in performing both Cleaning and Personal Care-related tasks efficiently.
- Medication competent
- Able to access shift and make notes electronically .
- Have a clean record or NDIS clearance
