Female Disability Support Worker | Weir Views
Are you an experienced Disability Support Worker who is passionate about providing high-quality support to people living with neurological and neurodegenerative conditions?
We are seeking compassionate, reliable and skilled
FEMALE Disability Support Workers to join a dedicated support team in
Weir Views. This role is suited to someone who understands the changing needs associated with progressive neurological conditions and is committed to supporting the participant’s independence, communication and overall quality of life.
Due to the participant’s personal support needs and preferences, this position is open to female applicants only. This is considered a genuine occupational requirement of the role.
Available Shifts
Daytime shifts are available across Monday to Sunday:
- Monday to Saturday: 10:00am–6:00pm
- Sunday: 10:00am–2:00pm
Applicants should have consistent availability across several of these shifts and be willing to work collaboratively as part of an established support team.
About the Role
You will support a participant living with a progressive neurological condition, helping them maintain independence, communication and emotional regulation.
The role includes:
- Implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans
- Supporting communication, social and emotional regulation skills
- Responding to changing support needs
- Completing accurate shift documentation
- Working collaboratively with family, the support team and allied health professionals
About You
You will need:
- Experience supporting neurological or neurodegenerative conditions
- Experience with Huntington’s disease or similar progressive conditions
- Experience implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or similar
- A willingness to complete specialist training and learn on the job
- A calm, reliable and person-centred approach
- NDIS Workers Screening Check and Paid Working with Children Check
- Valid Drivers License and access to a car with Comprehensive Insurance
Pay Rates
E3.1 (Casual in home and SIL)
SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax):
- Base hourly rate: $36.81
- Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $40.49
- Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $41.23
- Saturday: $51.54
- Sunday: $66.26
- Public holiday: $80.99
