Alya is a registered NDIS provider specialising in high-intensity support, mental health, and complex behaviours, the participants whose needs are too involved for a one-size-fits-all approach. We're opening up on the Sunshine Coast, and we're creating a new role to lead it: an NDIS Participant Engagement Lead to be the heart of our presence in the region.
This is a role for someone who does the work properly: who builds real trust with participants and families, navigates complex needs with confidence, and makes sure supports actually happen the way they should. If you're well known and well regarded in your community, that matters here, not because we want your contacts, but because the people who do this work best are usually the ones others already trust.
What you'll do
You'll carry a focused caseload of participants with complex needs and own their experience of Alya end to end: coordinating their supports, staying close to how their plans are working, building strong relationships with participants, families, and support workers, and heading off issues before they escalate. You'll work hand in hand with our clinical, rostering, and leadership teams, and you'll be trusted to make calls and carry them through.
As one of our first people on the Sunshine Coast, you'll also shape how Alya shows up in the region, connecting with the local health, allied health, and community networks you know, so that participants who need genuinely complex care can find a provider that does it well. If you're the kind of person others already come to, you'll have the autonomy to build something meaningful here.
What you'll bring
- Experience working with NDIS participants, whether with a provider, in support coordination, or a related role, ideally with complex or high-intensity needs
- A genuine feel for navigating complex participant needs, and the follow-through to carry a caseload well
- Real emotional intelligence and credibility with participants, families, and referrers alike
- The composure to hold competing priorities and emotionally complex situations without losing the thread
- A calm, grounded, professional presence, and the ability to hold boundaries while staying warm
- Confidence working independently and out in the community
- A current driver's licence and reliable transport
Highly regarded
- Established relationships across health, allied health, or community services on the Sunshine Coast
- A nursing, allied health, or clinical background
- Experience with high-intensity or complex participants specifically
- A working understanding of professional boundaries and complex care
