We’re looking for a hands‑on Fitter & Turner who can build, repair, and maintain mechanical parts and equipment. The job involves working with tools, machinery, and precision instruments to make sure everything runs smoothly and safely.
Main Duties
- Read and understand mechanical drawings to know what parts need to be made or fitted.
- Fit and assemble mechanical components like shafts, bearings, couplings, and machine parts.
- Operate lathes and turning machines to shape and finish metal components to the right size.
- Check measurements and tolerances using micrometers, verniers, gauges, and other precision tools.
- Install and align machinery such as motors, pumps, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
- Find and fix mechanical faults by inspecting parts, replacing worn components, and adjusting equipment.
- Carry out routine maintenance including lubrication, cleaning, tightening, and safety checks.
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including cutting, threading, and installing pipes and fittings.
- Use hand tools and workshop equipment to modify or repair parts when needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and keep the work area clean and organised.
Skills Needed
- Good mechanical knowledge and practical fitting skills.
- Experience using lathes and basic machining tools.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Strong problem‑solving skills for diagnosing faults.

Position-Full time
Salary-$78k-85K Plus super
Study- Certificate III or Certificate IV in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (or equivalent).
Experince-2 to 3 years.
Full working rights-Pref will be given to Australian citizens/PR
Pay: $78,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
