Intermediate/Graduate Tax Accountant
About the Role
We are seeking an Intermediate or Graduate Accountant to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in public practice accounting and gain exposure across taxation, compliance, and business advisory services.
Working closely with senior accountants, you will assist with the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, BASs, and client communications while continuing to develop your technical and professional skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of individual, company, trust, partnership, and SMSF tax returns
- Preparation of financial statements and workpapers
- Assisting with BAS, IAS, and payroll compliance
- Liaising with clients to obtain information and answer queries
- Maintaining accurate client records and documentation
- Assisting senior staff with tax planning and advisory matters
- Supporting the team with administrative and compliance tasks as required
- Using accounting software including Xero, MYOB, and practice management systems
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- 1–3 years’ experience in public practice accounting, or recent completion of an accounting degree
- Australian Resident with full working rights
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Commerce, or similar
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Experience with Xero and Microsoft Office is advantageous

Pay: $55,810.15 – $113,454.93 per year
