We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Chef to join the team at Deco Cafe Restaurant, located opposite Rivola Cinema in Camberwell.
No previous experience? No Worries! This is a fantastic opportunity to start your culinary career while completing a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and gaining valuable, hands-on industry experience.
As an Apprentice Chef, you will learn and develop your skills across all aspects of kitchen operations, working alongside our experienced kitchen team in a busy hospitality environment.
This is a full-time or part-time position, with flexibility for the right applicant. You will need to be available to work weekends and evenings.
As an Apprentice Chef, you will have the opportunity to:
- Learn and develop practical commercial cookery skills.
- Gain hands-on experience across all areas of the kitchen.
- Learn food preparation, cooking, presentation and kitchen operations.
- Work alongside experienced chefs and kitchen staff.
- Develop valuable skills and experience for a rewarding career in hospitality.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, keen to learn and passionate about pursuing a career in the hospitality industry.
Experience is not required. We provide full on-the-job training together with National Accreditation from William Angliss Institute of TAFE. (No campus attendance is required, as TAFE trainers conduct scheduled on-site visits to handle training and assessments directly at the job site.)
