If you are curious & creative, invested in not only your own success but also the growth of others, and believe in building the Great Australian Food Company, then you might be the one for us!
The Role
Our Chelsea Heights site is located in Melbourne’s south-east, manufacturing a range of more than 44 milk, milk-based beverages and cream products. The site currently produces around 100 million litres of product every year!
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Stores and Contractor Coordinator to join our Chelsea manufacturing site.
Working closely with our Reliability and Engineering team, you will play a key role in ensuring our maintenance team has the parts and materials they need, while coordinating external contractors and site services that keep our facilities safe, functional and compliant.
This role could be a great fit for a maintenance planner or coordinator looking for a change, or an experienced stores or inventory professional looking to broaden their skills and take on greater responsibility within a manufacturing environment. If you bring strength in one side of the role and are keen to develop your knowledge in the other, we would love to hear from you.
You don't need to know everything on day one. We are looking for someone with a strong foundation, a willingness to learn and the initiative to develop their knowledge across both the stores and contractor coordination aspects of the role.
Responsibilities
Coordinate purchasing activities, goods receipting, inventory management and parts availability for the engineering stores
Catalogue and maintain spare parts within the maintenance management system, ensuring accurate stock records and traceability
Manage stock control processes including cycle counts, stocktakes and storage optimisation
Schedule and coordinate external contractors for services such as refrigeration, Essential Safety Measures (ESMs), utilities and general building and facilities maintenance.
Maintain contractor documentation, service records and statutory compliance records, ensuring required inspections, servicing and maintenance activities are completed within required timeframes.
Develop effective relationships with stakeholders across the business and support the maintenance planning and scheduling activities.
About You
Qualifications in a related field, trade background, or relevant industry experience in stores, maintenance planning, engineering support or the delivery of maintenance services
Strong computer literacy skills, with SAP proficiency required. Experience with MEX is good to have but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
Ability to organise multiple priorities and attention to detail
A sound understanding of plant and equipment maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment
The confidence to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with a broader site team
