As a Telecom Datacom Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth across distributor and contractor channels while building strong relationships with key customers. You will develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets, identify new market opportunities, and manage the sales pipeline from opportunity through to project delivery. Working closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, logistics, and product development, you will help bring innovative solutions to market and ensure seamless customer service. This role also involves tender and project management, pricing strategy execution, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
This role reports to the Commercial Director - Telecom and requires influencing operational colleagues to deliver bottom-line results. A valid driver's license is critical, and some interstate and international travel may be required.

Develop strategies to grow the Telecom Datacom Channel through distributors and direct sales to major contractors.

Maintain close contact with customer base ensuring strong long term relationships with major customers are achieved.

Develop short and mid-term plans to achieve sales and margin targets.

Set product mix, sales area, and customer service standards to meet business objectives.

Implement pricing policies and strategies approved by the Pricing Manager.

Analyse market trends, identify growth opportunities, and develop winning strategies for tenders and projects.

Manage opportunity pipeline, including analysis, planning, and execution.

Cultivate a collaborative approach across the organization, working with stakeholders to achieve objectives.

Assist other Business Units in our organisation to achieve their targets of Datacom cable sales.

Work collaboratively with our production facilities and logistics teams both locally and global to ensure a timely and efficient supply of product.

Work collaboratively with our engineering and product development teams, both local and overseas, to assist in bringing new products to the market.

Ensure compliance with Trade Practice Regulations.

Tertiary qualifications in business, economics, or similar field.

5 to 10 years of managerial experience in business development.

Strong understanding of the Telecom sector and market dynamics.

Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and time management skills.
