We are seeking an organised, technically minded, and customer-focused Solar Installation Coordinator & Technical Support Specialist to join our growing team. This office-based role is ideal for someone with solar industry experience who enjoys both customer interaction and operational coordination.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing installation schedules, supporting customers with technical enquiries, assisting our sales team with system design, and ensuring a smooth customer experience from sale through to installation and after-sales support.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation Coordination & Operations
· Coordinate solar and battery installations from sale through to completion.
· Schedule installation teams, electricians, roofers and subcontractors.
· Liaise with customers regarding installation dates, site requirements and project updates.
· Coordinate appointments, inspections and stakeholder communications.
· Monitor installation progress and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts.
· Maintain accurate project records within the CRM system.
· Produce operational reports and installation status updates.
· Assist with procurement planning and stock allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time.
· Identify and report stock shortages and equipment requirements.
· Ensure compliance documentation is completed and maintained.
Technical Support
· Provide technical support to customers regarding solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, EV chargers and monitoring platforms.
· Assist customers with setup and troubleshooting of monitoring applications and portals.
· Diagnose common technical issues remotely and coordinate escalation where required.
· Guide customers through fault-finding procedures in a clear and professional manner.
· Educate customers on system performance, energy generation, battery operation and monitoring tools.
· Maintain detailed service records and support logs within the CRM system.
· Work closely with installation and service teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.
System Design & Sales Support
· Assist the sales team with designing residential solar and battery systems.
· Review customer electricity usage and site information to recommend suitable system configurations.
· Ensure proposed systems maximise customer savings and return on investment.
· Provide technical assistance to sales consultants when required.
· Review inverter, battery and panel compatibility for proposed installations.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
· Strong customer service and communication skills.
· Excellent organisational and time management skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word).
· Experience using CRM and scheduling software.
· Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.
· Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy.
Highly Desirable
· Previous experience in the solar industry.
· Experience coordinating solar or electrical installations.
· Knowledge of solar PV systems, battery storage and inverter technologies.
· Experience using solar design software such as OpenSolar or SolarEdge Designer.
· Understanding of DNSP requirements, grid connections and solar compliance processes.
· Technical support or helpdesk experience.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
