Teach-A-Tot Preschool is a small 39 place centre, educating and caring for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
We are excited to welcome a new trainee educator to our team.
Child Safety Commitment Statement: Teach-A-Tot Preschool is committed to providing a child safe environment where children’s rights are upheld and their safety, wellbeing and participation are actively promoted. We take the Child Safe Standards seriously and expect all staff, volunteers and contractors to share this commitment. All staff working in our service are required to hold a cleared Working with Children Check, unless an exemption applies. Applicants are asked to demonstrate their commitment to child safety in their application and will be required to respond to child safety questions as part of the recruitment process. Teach-A-Tot Preschool will make reasonable enquiries to assess each candidate’s suitability to work with children, including appropriate screening, reference checks and verification of relevant qualifications and clearances.
The successful candidate will:
- have an excellent work ethic, understanding the importance of being on time, attending shifts and giving as much notice as possible if unwell
- prioritise the safety and wellbeing of children above all else
- have excellent written and verbal English skills
- be polite and friendly, having the confidence to develop professional relationships with children, families and educators
- have excellent time management skills and be able to multi-task
- be prepared to work on course assessment tasks outside of work hours (in addition to paid study time at work)
- have full working rights in Australia (please note, no sponsorship offered)
