The Role
Sales Manager - Retirement Living (Full-Time) | Cardinal Gilroy Village, Merrylands
Are you a high-performing sales professional looking for a role with purpose? Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT is seeking an experienced Retirement Living Sales Manager to drive occupancy growth and sales success across our retirement living communities.
In this dynamic role, you'll own the end-to-end sales process, develop strategic growth initiatives, build referral networks, and partner with Village Managers to achieve outstanding results. You'll have the opportunity to combine your commercial expertise with a customer-first approach, helping prospective residents make one of life's most important decisions with confidence.
This role includes regular travel across our retirement living portfolio, supported by a fully maintained company vehicle.

What you will be doing
-
Manage the full sales journey, from enquiry and village tours through to settlement and move-in.

Drive occupancy, sales conversion and revenue outcomes across assigned retirement living villages.

Develop and implement targeted sales strategies for villages requiring increased sales activity, improved conversion or stronger market positioning.

Use sales, pricing, competitor and market data to provide recommendations on pricing strategy, sales priorities and opportunities to improve commercial performance.

Deliver exceptional customer experiences through personalised engagement and seamless communication.

Build and maintain referral networks with community organisations, health providers and key stakeholders.

Partner with Village Managers and internal teams to support property readiness, onboarding and resident transitions.

Collaborate with Marketing, Finance and Property teams to support sales campaigns, pricing, reporting and village presentation.

Maintain accurate CRM records, monitor sales pipelines and prepare occupancy and sales reports.

Ensure compliance with organisational policies while identifying opportunities to improve sales processes and the resident experience.
What you will bring

Proven sales professional with minimum 3+ years’ experience in a client-facing, high-value sales environment.
- Track record of achieving or exceeding sales, revenue, occupancy, and conversion targets.

Extensive and relevant experience in sales and customer experience roles within Retirement Living, Seniors Living, property or similar sectors – with a clear understanding of the customer journey, commercial drivers and sales environment.

Strong relationship-building, stakeholder management, and customer engagement skills.
- Skilled in consultative selling, negotiation, and managing complex customer decisions.
- Experience coaching and supporting teams to improve sales performance and conversion outcomes.
- Proficient in CRM systems, pipeline management, and sales reporting.

Commercially minded, with the ability to analyse sales and market data to drive results.
- Confident presenting, conducting tours, and engaging with community groups and referral partners.
- Warm, empathetic, and customer-focused, with a genuine passion for supporting older Australians.

Relevant qualifications in Sales, Business, Marketing, or a related field (desirable).
- Knowledge of the Retirement Living sector and customer expectations (desirable).

Demonstrated evidence of consistently meeting or exceeding agreed sales KPIs and performance targets.

Warm, engaging and person-centered approach. Self-motivated with a growth mindset and commitment to quality.
