Flooring & Interior Sales Consultant
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Flooring & Interior Sales Consultant to join our growing team.
This position is ideally suited to someone with a background in flooring sales , interior finishes, home renovation, or the building industry, who enjoys working with clients and delivering exceptional customer service.
This is not a general retail sales role. We are looking for someone who has some understanding of flooring products, installation methods, renovation projects, and how flooring integrates with the overall design of a home.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our customers, you will guide homeowners, builders, architects, designers, and renovators through the flooring selection process.
Your ability to provide informed advice, understand project requirements, and recommend suitable flooring solutions and interior finishing will be key to your success.
You will work with a wide range of products including timber flooring, hybrid flooring, laminate flooring, carpets, and associated finishing products for home renovations and building.
Helping clients make confident decisions that align with both their design vision and practical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with customers to understand their project requirements, lifestyle needs, budget, and design objectives.
- Recommend appropriate flooring products based on technical suitability, installation requirements, and aesthetic preferences.
- Provide advice on flooring specifications, product performance, maintenance requirements, and installation considerations.
- Prepare accurate quotations and follow up on sales enquiries.
- Maintain strong relationships with homeowners, builders, developers, designers, and industry professionals.
- Coordinate with installers, suppliers, and internal team members to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Stay current with industry trends, product innovations, and interior design developments.
- Consistently achieve sales targets while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Essential Requirements
- Availability to work weekends.
- Previous experience in flooring sales, flooring installation, interior consultation, home renovation, building products, or a related industry.
- Some knowledge of flooring products and their applications, including timber, hybrid, laminate, vinyl, and carpet flooring.
- Understanding of residential renovation and construction processes.
- Ability to read plans, calculate quantities, and provide accurate product recommendations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Professional appearance and a genuine passion for helping clients achieve outstanding results.
Highly Regarded
- Experience within a flooring showroom or flooring retail environment.
- Interior design, decorating, or renovation experience.
- Knowledge of flooring installation methods and industry standards.
- Existing relationships within the building, renovation, or design sectors.
- Speaking Mandarin.
