About the team
The Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology Department sits within the Allied Health and Clinical Support Services Directorate and delivers specialist allied health care across women’s health, maternity and neonatal services. The team focuses on improving health outcomes, quality of life and participation for women, newborns and families through evidence-based, patient-centred care.
About the role
This key leadership role provides strategic and operational oversight of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology services across the Women’s. Reporting to the Director, Allied Health and Clinical Support Services, you will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, contemporary and evidence-informed care while driving service innovation, workforce development, quality improvement and operational excellence.
A regular day will see you:
- Providing strategic and operational leadership across Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology services
- Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing multidisciplinary workforce and fostering a positive team culture
- Driving quality improvement, innovation, research and service redesign initiatives that enhance patient and family experiences
- Building strong partnerships with clinicians, leaders, consumers and external stakeholders to support integrated care and service excellence
About you
You are an experienced and collaborative allied health leader who is passionate about improving healthcare outcomes for women, newborns and families. You bring strong people leadership skills, a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, and the ability to inspire teams through change while maintaining a focus on safety, quality and patient-centred care.
You’ll bring with you:
- A recognised qualification in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated leadership experience in acute healthcare settings, including managing multidisciplinary teams and clinical services
- Advanced clinical expertise in women’s health, maternity, neonatal or related healthcare settings
- Proven experience leading organisational change, quality improvement initiatives and service development projects
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant clinical, leadership, management or health-related field
