At Cam Can, we’re all about supporting people with disabilities and their families to achieve their goals and aspirations. We think and act creatively and innovatively to meet people’s needs. We are emphatic about our values, which you can read here, and strive to give people choice, control and independence to build on their existing strengths. Every Support Worker we recruit is individually matched to the personality, goals and expectations of people we support (our Members).
A team of female support workers preferred who are ideally students of nursing or Occupational Therapy will support a lady in her 20's with daily living activities in the home as well as social outings in the local community. Some ideal shared interests are religion, cafes, markets, art and weekend markets.
We’re looking for people who will connect and engage well with our member, family and other people who are important to her so great interpersonal skills are a must.
The successful applicants will receive extensive training and mentoring in our Member’s support needs so that they are comfortable and confident providing support independently.
Why work at Cam Can? As a casual, you will receive Award conditions, with the hourly rate increasing in evenings, weekends and public holidays ($35.80-$77.03). You will also enjoy ‘salary packaging’ benefits, meaning you pay less tax with more money in your pocket! You’ll also receive a generous vehicle allowance for each km driven. We will provide you with training, and support you to reach your potential. We also have a great career structure which may open many future doors.
