Position Title Sport Coach
Reporting Manager Head of Sport P-12 through the specific Sport Facilitator
Role Purpose The sports Coach is responsible for delivering quality, engaging and
educational training sessions/competitions to students, ensuring programs
are safe and are professionally delivered in accordance with program
requirements whilst ensuring high levels of customer service are
maintained.
Specific Duties and
Responsibilities
Actively support the Christian ethos of the school, modelling a Christian
example in all activities.
As a member of the Danebank Sports Team this position is specifically
responsible for:
- Conducting training sessions suitable to the level of students and in
line with program expectations that are high quality, safe, fun,
engaging and effective.
- Provide a safe and secure learning environment for all students.
- Assist the Head of Sport, in conjunction with the sport facilitator,
the development of new and existing programs.
- Set up and pack up equipment and other materials in preparation
for training sessions.
- Accurately evaluate students against set criteria.
- Participate in covering roster to facilitate other coach absences.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all policies and procedures and
perform all activities as per these policies and procedures.
- Perform any other duties as required by the Head of Sport, Sport
Facilitator, within the limits of skill, competencies and training.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance.

- Capacity to work with a diverse range of school age young people.
- Passion for sport, and experience guiding and supporting girls,
adolescents and young women.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills so as to develop
positive relationships with staff, students, parents and other
coaches.
- Capacity to encourage talented student athletes to pursue their
sporting interests to achieve excellence.

Essential Qualifications Essential
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Relevant Coaching Accreditation (or willingness to complete a
course)
- Completion of General Principles of Coaching Course (or
willingness to complete this course)
- Additional for Swimming Coaches - Swim Australia Teacher (or
equivalent)
Desirable
First Aid & CPR Certification.
