As a Multi-Skilled Operator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring public safety and protecting the natural environment by assisting with a variety of infrastructure maintenance tasks. This role offers a diverse and rewarding work environment where no two days are the same. You’ll:
- Deliver infrastructure maintenance: Carry out road, drainage, footpath and general civil maintenance tasks safely, efficiently and to required standards.
- Operate plant and equipment safely: Use Council vehicles, machinery and tools competently, ensuring safety, care of assets and compliance with OH&S requirements.
- Support service delivery and teamwork: Work collaboratively with supervisors and crew, communicate effectively, maintain records, and contribute to a safe, customer‑focused operational environment.
You’ll be joining a stable team environment and contributing directly to maintaining community infrastructure – you’ll enjoy meaningful work with clear purpose.
What you'll bring - skills, experience and certificates:
- Experience in Road Infrastructure, Drainage and Cleansing maintenance activities.
- Experience in the safe and competent operation of vehicles and plant.
- Knowledge of traffic control requirements as to placement of warning signs, barriers and lights.
- Knowledge of the safety requirements associated with working in confined spaces.
- Experience in the use of light hydraulic cranes.
- The ability to work in a team environment, take direction and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Licence to operate front end loader/backhoe and forklift
Mandatory Pre-employment checks:
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
- Functional Capacity Assessment
- Drivers Licence and Heavy Rigid Truck Licence

- Salary $79,792.65 per annum plus super
- Permanent full-time position, work-life balance and generous leave arrangements with a nine-day fortnight (fortnightly RDO’s)
