If you’re after impact, there’s no other organisation in Australia that delivers work on this scale.
Your innovative mindset is key to creating solutions to complex problems. Our systems drive our organisational success and underpin every journey our customers take. This is your opportunity to be part of an expert team who build and refine seamless technology experiences.
In this role, you'll:
Working as part of a team delivering full‑stack application development, data‑driven solution design, database optimisation, cloud‑based services, ETL pipelines and analytical capabilities that support Transport for NSW’s digital and analytical systems.
This role will see you design, develop and optimise full‑stack applications; enhance database structures and queries; implement cloud‑based services on platforms such as AWS or Azure; lead data analysis to identify patterns and system improvements; design and implement ETL processes; apply CI/CD and DevOps practices; collaborate with business and technical stakeholders; and provide guidance and support to junior developers, with development opportunities across advanced software engineering, analytics, cloud architecture, CI/CD maturity, and enterprise‑scale solution delivery.
You will build new ways of improving application performance, data integration, scalability and secure system delivery in a multi‑project, matrixed environment that requires balancing competing priorities, integrating diverse systems and data sources, keeping pace with rapid technological change, and translating complex concepts to non‑technical audiences.

About you
Your full‑stack development skills (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java), cloud‑based development capability (AWS/Azure, IaC, CI/CD, DevOps), data management and ETL expertise (PostgreSQL, Redshift, Athena), and strong analytical and problem‑solving skills formed across software engineering, data integration, analytics projects and Agile environments will see you excel in overcoming complex technical challenges, delivering scalable and maintainable applications, and bringing disciplined engineering practices to lead to high‑quality digital products, reliable data pipelines, and improved data‑informed decision‑making.
You’re recognized as an adept communicator, skilled at explaining technical concepts, collaborating across teams, and engaging diverse stakeholders, experienced in full‑stack development, cloud architecture, analytics integration, ETL design, CI/CD pipelines, and guiding less‑experienced developers.
