About the Role
We are seeking a Financial Accountant to support the Group Financial Controller in delivering accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting across the Hewitt Group. This role will play an important part in month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, statutory compliance and continuous improvement of finance processes. Working closely with the broader Finance team and key stakeholders across the business, you will help ensure financial information is accurate, meaningful and delivered on time. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys balancing detail, deadlines and stakeholder support in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities

Support the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Complete month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and support compliance with accounting standards, policies and internal controls.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and business performance insights.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve finance processes, controls, reporting and systems.
About You
You are a capable and detail-focused finance professional with experience in financial accounting, month-end processes and reporting. You bring strong technical accounting knowledge, sound Excel and financial systems capability, and a commitment to accuracy. You are proactive, organised and able to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines. You communicate clearly, build effective relationships and bring integrity, accountability and professionalism to your work.
You Will Bring

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in a financial accounting role, ideally within a medium to large organisation.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, month-end processes and financial reporting.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- CPA or CA qualification, or progress towards qualification, which is desirable.
