We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join a 24/7 SIL program in Whyalla. In this role, you will provide 1:1 support to a participant with complex support needs, assisting with daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity and quality of life.
You will be part of a supportive team delivering consistent, person-centred care within a structured home environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for experienced support workers who are confident in delivering high-quality, hands-on support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver consistent, person-centred support within a SIL setting
- Provide assistance with personal care and daily living tasks
- Support PEG feeding in line with care plans and training
- Assist with manual handling, transfers and mobility support
- Support community access and participation when required
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication notes
- Work collaboratively with team members and allied health professionals
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A valid P2 or Open driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
- Experience providing PEG feeding support
- Experience with personal care and manual handling in a support setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A calm, reliable and professional approach to support work
- Availability to work a 24/7 roster including sleepover shifts
