Details: Digital Canberra is seeking an experienced Senior IT Specialist – System Uplift to join the ACT Cyber Security Centre and contribute to the delivery of the Whole‑of‑Government System Lifecycle Uplift Program.
In this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to uplift, modernise, and decommission legacy systems across ACT Government. You will contribute to system discovery, design, and implementation activities across server, database, and platform environments, ensuring systems are secure, supportable, and ready for business‑as‑usual operations. This is a unique opportunity to work on large-scale, whole‑of‑government initiatives that reduce cyber risk and improve the resilience of critical ICT systems.
Eligibility/Other requirements: The successful applicant must be an Australian citizen and possess or acquire and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) security clearance at the Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) level as an eligibility qualification. If AGSVA screening is not successful, your employment will not commence or, if already commenced, your employment will be reassessed.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately until 30 June 2027, with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.
