In this role, you'll:
Undertake labouring and manual handling tasks for a variety of bridges and culverts across the district at a sub-trade level.
Undertake a range of functions relating to maintaining timber, steel and concrete bridges, including assisting other trades and painting when required.
Work under limited supervision, perform routine and complex labouring/manual tasks
Safely operate a range of small plant and powered and non-powered hand tools.
Be prepared to work away from home throughout the year and attend after hours call outs when required
Work 19-Days a Month
You will have the opportunity to acquire new skills in plant operations, formwork, falsework, concreting, truck driving to further your industry experience.

About you
We’re seeking a team-oriented worker who has an eye for detail and is used to working in similar environments.
You must have previous experience in a labouring or related civil construction environment with a strong focus on safety.
You must hold the following qualifications:
Construction industry White Card
Valid and current unrestricted NSW driver’s licence
Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed
You will ideally have experience operating small plant, Forklift, Crane, hand tools and power tools with a keen interest to learn on the job as well.
High risk work tickets, and Medium Rigid Licence are desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
We take WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously. Therefore, to be successful in this role it is a requirement that you must reside within a 100 km distance from the South Tamworth depot.
