Whitsunday Family Dental is a locally owned, family-run practice located in beautiful Cannonvale, in the heart of the Whitsundays. We are passionate about providing exceptional patient care and offer a wide range of treatments including general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, and implant and surgical procedures.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our supportive team on a full-time basis.
About the Role
This position offers a 76-hour fortnight with flexible working days across Monday to Friday. Applicants must be available to work within our operating hours. The practice is open Monday to Friday from 7:45 am to 6:00 pm, with extended hours until 6:30 pm on Thursdays.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Chairside assisting across a variety of dental procedures
- Instrument processing and sterilisation
- Reception and patient administration duties
- Treatment planning and patient communication
- Stock control and inventory management
- Supporting the clinical team to ensure smooth daily operations
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous dental assisting experience (preferred)
- Be confident using computers and learning new technology
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be organised, efficient, and proactive
- Be a positive team player with a strong work ethic
- Take pride in delivering outstanding patient care
While experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right person who demonstrates the right attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to our patients and team.
