SunPork Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Site Manager to lead our Nagambie Piggery in Victoria. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader to manage a 500-sow breeding operation, lead a small dedicated team, and play a key role in delivering outstanding production, animal welfare, and operational outcomes.

As Site Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Nagambie Piggery, ensuring the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of the site.
Leading a small team, you'll foster a positive workplace culture, maintain high standards of animal welfare and biosecurity, and drive continuous improvements across production, people, and site performance.
- Manage the daily operations of a 500-sow breeding piggery.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team to achieve production and business objectives.
- Maintain the highest standards of animal welfare, biosecurity, and workplace safety.
- Monitor breeding and production performance, implementing improvements where required.
- Coordinate staffing, rostering, and daily work priorities.
- Oversee site maintenance, infrastructure, and equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- Monitor production records, budgets, and key performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legislative requirements.
- Build positive relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and neighbouring properties.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Previous experience managing or supervising a commercial piggery or intensive livestock operation.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a small team.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A sound understanding of pig production, animal welfare, biosecurity, and workplace health and safety.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to coordinate routine maintenance activities.
- Competency using production management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
