About the Role
We are seeking two dedicated and motivated full-time Administration Officers to join our Intermodal Rail team at the Penfield Depot. These roles work on a rotating seven-day roster, covering day, afternoon and weekend shifts.
Job Description
Reporting to the State Rail Manager, this role supports rail administration, operational planning, reporting and compliance activities.
- Provide administrative support to the Rail team and broader SCT business, including tasks related to planning, processing and compliance
- Respond professionally to internal and external enquiries
- Use internal systems to manage container bookings and maintain accurate operational records
- Prepare daily reports on assets, freight movements and operational activity, and process rail terminal invoices
- Communicate clearly with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders
- Work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Use strong computer and systems skills in a fast-paced operational environment
- Show initiative, maintain a positive and proactive approach, and focus on completing tasks efficiently
- Remain flexible with working hours to meet operational needs.
Essential Licensing, Experience and Requirements:
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a current driver’s licence
- Ideally hold a Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, Transport and Logistics, or a related field
- Candidates with rail network or train scheduling experience will be highly regarded.
