Casual position | Approximately 10–20 hours per week
Pepperjack Sandwiches is a busy independent sandwich restaurant in South Brisbane. We prepare fresh sandwiches to order and aim to provide fast, friendly service in a welcoming team environment.
We are looking for reliable casual team members who enjoy working with customers and can stay calm, friendly and accurate during busy periods.
Summer Availability – Essential
Please only apply if you are available to work throughout our summer trading period from November through February.
This includes:
- Availability throughout the Christmas and New Year holiday period
- Availability to work public holidays, including Christmas/New Year and Australia Day public holidays
- Availability throughout the school and university summer holidays
- No planned extended holidays or extended periods away between November and February
- Approximately 2–3 shifts per week during this period
You do not need to be available every day, and individual days off can still be requested. However, we are specifically looking for team members who will remain in Brisbane and be available for regular rostering throughout the entire November–February period.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting customers and taking orders
- Preparing sandwiches quickly and accurately
- Restocking ingredients and preparing the service line
- Cleaning work areas, equipment and the dining area
- Working closely with teammates during busy lunch periods
- Following food-safety and store procedures
The role involves standing for most of the shift and moving quickly during peak periods.
What We’re Looking For
You do not need previous hospitality experience. We provide training.
You will need to be:
- Friendly and comfortable speaking with customers
- Able to communicate clearly in English when taking orders and working with teammates
- Comfortable working quickly and accurately in a busy environment
- Reliable, punctual and dependable
- Willing to clean, restock and help wherever needed
- Available for approximately 2–3 shifts each week
- Available for regular work throughout November, December, January and February, including public holidays
Please only apply if you can reliably travel to our South Brisbane store for rostered shifts, including shifts starting as early as 10am or finishing as late as 9:30pm.
