Diesel & Electric Vehicle Repairs Pty Ltd is currently seeking trade qualified and experienced Fitter (general) to join our team on a permanent, full- time role based in our workshop. Currently we have one vacancy at our workshop based at 1727 Botany Rd, Banksmeadow, NSW 2019.
About The Role
You are to perform:
· safely carry out all aspects of Fitter works in accordance with their trade qualifications and industry specifications
· Perform preventative maintenance and routine safety checks
· Complete hazard reporting and maintain a safe working environment
· Carry out mechanical repairs and maintain accurate maintenance records
· Mechanical overhaul, repair, rebuild of equipment, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
· Assemble, fit, align, and test mechanical components and equipment to meet engineering specifications and drawings and quality standards
· Assembly and testing of mechanical systems and components.
· Maintenance of motors, gearboxes, bearings and associated equipment
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Trade Qualified in Engineering (minimum Certificate III)
- With at least 1 year of Fitter experience post qualification
- Ability to work independently.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- A current driver licence (HR or MR desirable but not essential).
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Professional & excellent customer service experience.
- A mature and positive attitude to the job
- A switched-on person who is good at multi-tasking
- Strong analysing and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical problems
Salary
· salary in the range of $84k to $94k per annum plus, superannuation
· Ongoing training and support
Hours of Work
Full Time - 38 hours per week- Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5pm
Saturday 8.00am to 12pm(overtime)
