Introduction:
Full-time | Harrisdale and Forrestdale Campuses
Carey Baptist College is looking for an ICT Support Officer to join our ICT team and provide responsive, practical technical support to our staff and students across our campuses.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, helping people and building their technical skills in a supportive team environment.
About the role
Working as part of the ICT team, you will be one of the first points of contact for day-to-day technology support across the College.
Your responsibilities will include:
- providing technical support to staff and students;
- troubleshooting common hardware, software and device issues;
- installing, configuring and maintaining ICT hardware, software and peripherals;
- logging and managing support requests through our ITSM system;
- coordinating device repairs and liaising with suppliers where required;
- escalating more complex technical issues to senior ICT staff; and
- contributing to improvements in the way we deliver ICT support.
The role is primarily based across our Harrisdale and Forrestdale campuses, with occasional work at our Canning Vale office where required.
About you
We're looking for someone who is approachable, reliable and enjoys helping others with technology.
You'll ideally bring:
- a Certificate I, II or III in Information Technology, relevant entry-level industry certification, or equivalent practical experience;
- foundational knowledge of Mac, iOS and Chrome operating systems;
- an ability to troubleshoot routine technical issues and know when to ask for help;
- good written and verbal communication skills;
- a strong customer service mindset; and
- a willingness to learn and continue developing your technical skills.
Previous experience in an ICT helpdesk, technical support or customer service environment would be an advantage.
Just as importantly, you'll be someone who can work positively with staff and students and contribute to a collaborative ICT team.
