Disability Connect Victoria is seeking compassionate and reliable casual Disability Support Workers to join our team in Heathmont.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to assist participants with:

Personal care and daily living activities
- Catheter care
- Bowel management
- Safe manual handling
- Community access
- Behaviours of concern
- Following individual support plans and NDIS goals
- Maintaining professional boundaries
- Completing accurate documentation and progress notes
Applicants must be available for some of the following shifts:

Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am to 11:00 am
- Saturday and Sunday: 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm
To be considered for this role, you must have:

Certificate III in Individual Support or a higher relevant qualification
- At least 12 months’ experience in a similar disability support role
- Experience providing personal care
- Experience with catheter care and bowel management
- Experience supporting people with behaviours of concern
- Knowledge of safe manual handling practices
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- A current employee Working with Children Check
- A valid Australian driver licence
- Access to a registered and comprehensively insured vehicle
Due to the participant’s transport and accessibility needs, the vehicle must be lower to the ground and suitable for safe entry and exit. SUVs and four-wheel-drive vehicles are not suitable for this placement.
