The preferred candidate will show a willingness to get stuck straight into service of existing menu, streamlining kitchen operations and ordering, managing the kitchen team and operations, and bringing new fresh menu ideas to the table for future development.
The preferred candidate will :
show willingness to get stuck straight into work with service of existing menu
bring new fresh menu ideas to the table, and develop some new menu items for the busy summer season ahead
have proven experience managing teams of kitchen staff, including rostering, training, and performance management
have minimum 3-5 years experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a busy restaurant environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Food Safety Supervisor Certification
Current knowledge of HACCP principles
Your key responsibilities will be:
Strong record in supervision and leadership of kitchen team, including support and mentoring to junior staff, awareness of rostering and COGS management, ordering and stock control
Always strive to maintain and improve the quality of food served.
Bring a positive attitude and drive to meet and exceed expectations.
Work with directors and other chefs to deliver new ideas and promotions succesfully
