- Visible, hands-on leadership role
-
Real say in decisions and direction
-
Influence your team, their performance and outcomes
This is a leadership role you can feel day to day
You will take the lead of our QLD Production Drafting function, stepping into a team that is capable, grounded and committed to what they deliver.
This is not a role where you sit back and observe.
You will be present, visible and connected. In the conversations, close to the work and alongside your team when it matters. Someone people can rely on to make decisions, provide direction and keep things moving.
Your technical background will allow you to engage in the detail when it counts, give direction with confidence and support your team through both straightforward and more complex drafting scenarios.
Working across construction, sales and operations, you will bring people together to align priorities, navigate trade offs and stay focused on what is right for the customer and the business.
What this looks like in practice
You are in it with the team.
You understand the detail, the pressure points and what it takes to keep work flowing. You are comfortable stepping into technical conversations, sense checking outputs and guiding decisions when things move outside the usual path.
At the same time, you know when to step back, look ahead and make calls that shape what comes next.
Some days that means working through immediate challenges, clearing roadblocks and keeping momentum. Other days it is about stepping back and thinking about how the function continues to evolve as demand shifts and variations outside the standard come into play.
You lean into decisions. You collaborate. You take accountability.
Your presence brings clarity, pace and confidence to those around you.
What matters in this role
You are a leader who shows up.
You bring both leadership capability and technical credibility. Your experience in drafting means you understand the work, can challenge constructively and support your team in delivering quality outcomes.
You are comfortable being close to the work, having real conversations and staying connected to both outcomes and the people behind them.
You know how to move between the day to day and the bigger picture without losing either.
You bring a strong sense of accountability and a customer first mindset. You make decisions with intent, balancing quality, timeframe and commercial outcomes, even when things are not always standard.
You have led in environments where volume is real, priorities shift and alignment across teams matters. You are known for being fair, direct and consistent, and for bringing people with you along the way.
Most importantly, you build teams that perform because expectations are clear, support is genuine and people know where they stand.
Why this role is worth a conversation?
Because you will have a genuine seat at the table.
You will help shape how drafting operates, influence how work flows day to day, and play a key role in delivering better outcomes for customers and the business.
