As a Pool Lifeguard you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all patrons and play a key part in the daily operations of our pools.

The role includes the following:
- Watches over patrons to ensure they are safe
- Identifies potential threats to safety
- Rescues patrons in danger of drowning or in need of first aid
- Assists with swimming lessons
- Enforces the facility’s rules
- Maintains a level of physical competence to carry out the job
- Inspects facility and immediately reports any unsafe conditions or equipment to supervisor
- Educate the public on the Keep Watch Policy.
- Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment for all aquatic facility patrons.
- Respond promptly to emergencies as they arise.
- Report significant incidents to the appropriate personnel.
- Identify and report risks within Council premises.
- Maintain cleanliness of facility and aquatic areas.
- Carry out routine water testing.
- Carry out duties / tasks as directed.
- Carry out other duties as required
- Flexibility to work varies shifts which include early morning and evening, weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
Qualifications
Lifeguards must possess the following certificates:
- Pool Lifeguard Certificate (Australia)
- At least 12 months experience or a certificate III relevant qualification
- CPR Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- Working with Children Blue Card
Desirable
- Cert IV in Fitness
- Swimming toward competitive strokes
- Previous work experience at a similar facility

Applicants must have Australian work rights to be eligible for these positions.
The position offers approximately 25 hours per week.
Shift start and finish times vary depending on the time of the year.

Pay: $27.96 – $42.00 per hour
