Lead Communications, Marketing and Health Promotion for a Purpose-Driven Organisation

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Communications, Marketing and Health Promotion Manager to lead Communify's communications, marketing, health promotion and community engagement functions.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and leading a Communications and Marketing Officer, this senior leadership role is responsible for strengthening Communify's brand, increasing awareness and participation across our services, developing strategic partnerships, and positioning Communify as a recognised voice in community wellbeing, social inclusion and urban social issues.

About the Role
As Communications, Marketing and Health Promotion Manager, you will:
- Lead the development and implementation of organisation-wide communications, marketing, health promotion and engagement strategies.
- Drive awareness, participation and retention across Communify's diverse range of programs and services.
- Develop and oversee integrated communications and marketing campaigns across digital, print and community channels.
- Lead health promotion, community education and public awareness initiatives that improve community wellbeing and social inclusion.
- Manage media relations, public relations activities and proactive storytelling opportunities.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with government agencies, funding bodies, health organisations, community stakeholders and sector partners.
- Oversee website content, social media platforms, electronic newsletters and digital engagement strategies.
- Analyse campaign performance and use data-driven insights to improve engagement, participation and reach.
- Manage communications budgets, resources and external suppliers.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and support to the Communications and Marketing Officer.
Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Degree qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Health Promotion, Journalism, Community Development or a related discipline.
- Significant leadership experience in communications, marketing, community engagement, health promotion or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated success developing and implementing strategic communications and marketing initiatives across multiple channels.
- Proven experience leading teams, managing projects and delivering organisational outcomes.
- Exceptional written communication, storytelling, content development and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong understanding of digital communications, social media management, website content management and digital marketing.
- Experience using data and analytics to evaluate performance, drive engagement and inform decision-making.
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Excellent organisational, project management and budget management capabilities.
Desirable Experience
We would be particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Experience in the community services, health, mental health, disability, aged care or not-for-profit sectors.
- Experience designing and delivering health promotion initiatives, including planning, implementation and evaluation.
- Experience managing organisational brands, public awareness campaigns, advocacy initiatives and community engagement programs.
- Experience with platforms such as WordPress, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Hootsuite and project management systems.
