Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Platform Engineers to provide flexible engineering capacity to established product teams. These engineers will primarily focus on platform, integration, automation, and enablement activities that improve team velocity, reliability, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with platform engineering expertise and a systems-thinking mindset. They can rapidly understand complex environments, identify integration opportunities, and deliver scalable technical solutions with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement integrations between internal and external systems.
Develop and maintain platform services, tooling, and automation capabilities.
Build reusable engineering assets that improve developer productivity and operational efficiency.
Contribute to CI/CD, deployment automation, observability, and operational tooling.
Support system modernisation, migration, and platform uplift initiatives.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to simplify architecture and improve reliability.
Apply security-by-design principles across platform and integration solutions.
Participate in technical design discussions and provide architectural guidance where required.
Identify technical risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Skill Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
Core Engineering
Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript in production environments.
Strong Git and GitHub experience, including pull request workflows and code reviews.
Experience developing and operating cloud-native applications and services.
Strong understanding of software engineering principles, testing, and maintainability.
Security-focused mindset with practical knowledge of secure development practices.
Platform & Integration
Experience designing and implementing system-to-system integrations.
Experience with REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
Familiarity with API gateways, service orchestration, and integration frameworks.
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
Experience with infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
Familiarity with observability tooling, monitoring, logging, and operational support.
