As a Debt Management Consultant, you will manage a portfolio of clients, providing guidance and tailored solutions to help them take control of their financial situation with the goal of becoming debt free. This role requires strong communication skills, empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to work within compliance and legislative frameworks..
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive financial assessments and present appropriate debt management solutions
- Manage a portfolio of clients, handling inbound and outbound enquiries
- Deliver a consistently high level of customer service
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies
- Meet monthly KPI targets while maintaining quality and attention to detail
- Manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Represent the company professionally and ethically at all times
- Work on a rotating roster between 9:00am – 7:00pm, Monday to Friday
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Previous experience in a financial services role is advantageous but not essential
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in an office or customer service environment
- Portfolio management experience highly regarded
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong empathy, patience, and understanding when dealing with clients
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and develop
- Positive, driven attitude with a strong work ethic
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
