Georgiou is seeking experienced AHS Escort Operators to join our project team, supporting the delivery of an upcoming major civil project for a blue-chip mining client in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.
Working a 2:1 FIFO roster ex Perth, you’ll play an important role supporting the safe movement of project personnel, vehicles and equipment within an operational mining environment incorporating Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS).

About the role:
As an AHS Escort Operator, you will support the safe movement of project personnel, vehicles and equipment through areas operating Autonomous Haulage Systems.
Working closely with project personnel and client operational teams, you will follow site-specific AHS procedures and protocols to ensure movements are undertaken safely and efficiently while supporting the delivery of the project’s civil and bulk earthworks activities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Undertake escort activities within designated autonomous operating areas.
- Support the safe movement of project vehicles, personnel and equipment through AHS-controlled areas.
- Follow site-specific autonomous haulage procedures, protocols and access requirements.
- Maintain clear and effective radio communication with relevant operational personnel.
- Monitor changing site and traffic conditions and respond appropriately.
- Complete required pre-starts, inspections and documentation.
- Maintain strong situational awareness and compliance with critical risk controls.
- Work collaboratively with Supervisors, Operators and other project personnel.
Your skills and experience:
- Previous experience working within mining, resources or large-scale civil construction environments.
- Previous experience working within or around Autonomous Haulage System operations will be essential.
- Previous AHS Escort experience will be essential.
- Strong understanding of mine site traffic management and interaction with heavy mobile equipment.
- Excellent situational awareness and commitment to safe work practices.
- Strong radio communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow detailed site procedures and operational requirements.
- Previous Pilbara and FIFO experience will be highly regarded.
- Construction White Card.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Ability to work a 2:1 FIFO roster ex Perth.
