About the opportunity
The Enrolled Nurse (EN) assists in the delivery of competent and quality nursing care under the direction of senior nursing staff whilst assisting in the achievement of service goals. The EN utilises clinical skills to provide evidence-based resident -centred care. The EN consolidates knowledge and skills moving from beginner to experienced, applying their depth of knowledge and competence to effectively develop, provide and evaluate resident care, with regular communication and/or assistance from the Registered Nurse. The Enrolled Nurse (EN) is an associate to the Registered Nurse (RN) and provides care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and in accordance with the Practice Standards as identified by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board.
There are multiple permanent part-time roles available, with hours variable.
About the Unit
Parklands Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) is a Queensland Health managed aged care service within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service and is located in Townsville at the Kirwan campus. The facility provides care for 70 residents with 30 places for dementia care and 40 places for older persons who require care due to fragility and complex needs.
Parklands RACF provides a multidisciplinary approach to care delivery with a focus on resident's rights and choices. Residents (as able), relatives, carers and other health professionals are involved in the individual care planning process and encouraged to play an active role in the decision-making process. With the introduction of the aged care nursing ratios, all nursing staff will work together to provide resident focused quality nursing care that meets the aged care quality standards and will assist in the provision of leisure and recreational activities and interactions.
Role requirements
Qualification: Diploma of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
Salary range: $37.92 - $40.25 p.h. (NG3)
4 weeks annual leave (pro rata) with 17.5% loading
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
