About the Role
As the Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring planned and corrective maintenance and repairs for our Westhaven Residential Aged Care Home and Retirement Living Village in Toowoomba. Your ability to foster strong relationship with residents, contractors and suppliers will be a key part of making sure every day is the best it can be.
Responsibilities include:
- Undertakes general building maintenance including repairing furniture, doors, locks, curtains, lights, sinks, toilets and other equipment.
- Maintains cleanliness, functionality and orderly presentation of gardens and common areas
- Provides timely and professional communication and assistance to residents regarding maintenance issues, repairs, installations, and other requests.
- Complies with health and safety requirements and protocols while performing maintenance and gardening activities, ensuring safe working environment.
About you
- Experience in maintenance and grounds duties, preferably in an aged care environment
- Relevant Certificate IV qualification and/or significant relevant experience
- Current valid drivers' licence
- Evidence of Australian work rights
- Police Check & NDIS workers Screen (or willing to obtain)
- A pre-employment medical assessment may be required for this role
- Availability to participate in a shared on-call roster to ensure continuity of service
