## Position Overview
We are looking for a driven and commercially astute ICT Account Manager to join our team and take ownership of a portfolio of client accounts across the technology sector. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing existing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering tailored ICT solutions that meet each client's unique needs. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term retention. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator with a strong technical understanding and a proven track record in B2B technology sales.
## Key Responsibilities
- Manage and nurture a portfolio of existing client accounts, serving as the primary relationship point and ensuring ongoing satisfaction with ICT products and services
- Identify and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts to drive revenue growth and deepen client engagement
- Prospect and develop new business opportunities by researching and compiling lists of potential client organisations using trade directories, industry publications, and other relevant sources
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company's full range of ICT products and services, as well as competitor offerings and broader market conditions, to effectively position solutions
- Coordinate the preparation and delivery of professional sales proposals, tenders, and presentations tailored to client requirements and business objectives
- Follow up with clients following the delivery of ICT goods and services to confirm satisfaction, manage any required modifications, and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with internal technical, procurement, and support teams to ensure seamless delivery and implementation of solutions for clients
- Develop and maintain accurate records of all client interactions, sales activity, and pipeline progress using CRM tools and reporting systems
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and service agreements in line with company policies and client expectations
- Attend industry events, conferences, and client meetings to strengthen relationships and stay informed of emerging trends and technologies
- Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, account reviews, and performance reports to management
## Required Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrated experience in ICT account management, technology sales, or a related B2B sales role
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, networking, cloud services, and managed IT solutions
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to analyse client needs and match them to appropriate ICT solutions effectively
- Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite for pipeline management and reporting
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and operational teams
- Valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel for client meetings as required
## Preferred Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline
- Relevant vendor certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, or similar technology partnerships
- Experience working with government, enterprise, or public sector clients
- Familiarity with tendering processes and the preparation of formal RFT or RFQ responses
- Experience using Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRM platforms at an advanced level
