We are seeking Chefs/Cooks to join our Catering team. You will work closely with the team to:
- Provide a memorable dining experience for our members and guests.
- Prep for service before, during and after trade.
- Work in an à la carte restaurant and/or busy café environment, confidently across grill, pans, fryer, larder and prep.
- Implement quality control procedures, including receiving and storing goods.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety.
- Contribute to regular stocktakes.
- Ensure kitchen and store areas are maintained to a meticulous standard of cleanliness.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be a team player who is willing to help where required.
- Have proven experience cooking in a commercial kitchen.
- Have proven experience working in both busy à la carte and café environments.
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Hold relevant qualifications and certificates.
Roster Expectations
- Tuesday availability is essential, with applicants who have strong weekday availability highly regarded.
- Split shift availability is an advantage.
Position & Pay
This position is classified as Cook Grade 2, Level 3 under the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award.
For the right candidate, there is an opportunity to progress to a Cook Grade 3, Level 4 classification based on demonstrated skills, performance and the ability to work independently across all areas of the kitchen.
