Now Hiring: Secondhand Shop Manager – Clayton
Are you passionate about giving items a second life? We are looking for an energetic, organized, and sales-driven Shop Manager to lead our secondhand store in Clayton.
This role is perfect for someone who loves the thrill of the find, enjoys connecting with people, and knows how to move stock both in-store and online.
The Role
This is a hands-on position managing both our physical storefront and our digital presence. You will be responsible for:
Face-to-Face Sales: Greeting customers, providing expert product knowledge, and driving in-store sales.
Online Sales & Social Media: Researching, pricing, and listing unique items across Facebook Marketplace and eBay to reach a wider audience.
Operations: Sorting and organizing new stock, tallying daily sales, and handling basic store accounts.
Meeting KPIs: Working towards clear performance targets, including daily listing quotas, sales targets, and inventory turnover goals.
What We’re Looking For
A Natural Salesperson: You are confident engaging with customers in person and have a "can-do" attitude toward meeting sales goals.
Secondhand Savvy: A passion for vintage, modern, and unique pieces, with the ability to research and price items accurately.
Tech-Fluent: High level of comfort using a PC and smartphone for multi-platform online selling.
Reliable & Physical: Must have your own transport. You must be physically capable of moving furniture (using upright trolleys) and handling stock.
Professionalism: A Police Check is required. A full driver’s license is a bonus.
Required Skills
Proven experience selling items on Facebook Marketplace and eBay.
The ability to work independently and hit targets without constant supervision.
Open to all ages! An interest in the secondhand industry is a must.
Roster & Pay
Pay: $37.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-time / Casual (26.5 – 32.5 hours per week)
Availability Requirements:
Tuesdays: 9:00am – 5:30pm
Thursdays: 9:00am – 5:30pm
Fridays: 8:00am – 1:00pm (Focus on stocking)
Saturdays: 9:45am – 2:15pm
Sundays: 9:00am – 2:00pm
Additional hours may be available for a candidate who consistently meets KPIs.
