Job Description
Staff Development Nurse Private Sub Acute Rehabilitation 28 hours per fortnight
Joondalup has a great opportunity for an existing nurse to step into a key role of Staff Development Nurse in Private Sub Acute Rehabilitation
Stepping into this role, you will work as an integral member of the education team and ensure safe delivery of care in line with the core values and strategic direction of the department, Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.
In addition, you will:

Liaison with the Training & Development Manager / Clinical Manager regarding educational needs of their staff

Contribute to and participate in orientation, in-servicing and clinical competence programs
-
Provide a valuable contribution to the hospital Quality Improvement process.
About You
Your ability to both objectively evaluate and assess learning needs and learning outcomes and manage situations using advanced problem solving and clinical decision making is essential for this role.
You will also demonstrate:

Registration with the AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
-
Demonstrated post registration and extensive experience in Sub Acute Rehabilitation/Gerontology nursing
-
Be proficient in all clinical skills relevant to the chosen field and demonstrate competency in hospital specific competencies
-
Demonstrated ability to educate staff in formal and informal settings
-
High level interpersonal and communication skills
-
Positive attitude to change management including a demonstrated professional approach
Candidates who have completed a preceptor program and are Basic life support/Manual handling & medication assessors will be highly regarded.
