Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa).
What you'll be doing
Perform Radiation Therapy simulation, planning, treatment, patient care, quality assurance and quality control, as an accredited practitioner.
About You
You present yourself as a radiation therapy professional with a strong academic foundation and the credentials required for general registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia. Your background reflects a solid understanding of the clinical, technical and safety principles that underpin contemporary radiation therapy practice, supported by hands‑on experience with dual‑energy linear accelerators, multi‑leaf collimation and electronic verification imaging. You work confidently with CT‑integrated 3D treatment planning systems, demonstrating both technical fluency and a commitment to precision in patient care.
You communicate with clarity, empathy and professionalism, engaging effectively with patients, visitors and colleagues across a range of clinical situations. Your interpersonal approach supports patient comfort and contributes to a cohesive, respectful treatment environment. You bring self‑motivation and initiative to your work, functioning well within small teams where collaboration, reliability and adaptability are essential.
You manage the demands of a dynamic clinical setting with composure, adjusting to evolving workflows and maintaining high standards even under pressure. Your understanding of radiation therapy, quality assurance and radiation safety principles is current and robust, and you demonstrate awareness of emerging developments in the field. You carry yourself as a practitioner who is committed to safe practice, continuous improvement and the future direction of the profession.
