About the Role
Sydney Local Health District’s Community Health Centres have a long and proud history of delivering care in the community including prevention, early intervention, assessment, treatment, health maintenance and continuing care services designed to improve and support the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.
The Child Health Information Link (CHIL) is a multidisciplinary clinical referral and information service comprising Child and Family Health Allied Health, Nursing and Administration staff.
The Allied Health Intake Officer position is responsible for the completion of multidisciplinary intake for Child and Family Health Services (CFHS), including the allocation and prioritisation of referrals to clinical teams and scheduling of initial appointments where appropriate. This role will be required to consult and collaborate with CFHS Allied Health and Nursing staff.

Ideal Candidate
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Orthoptics, Social Work or Speech Pathology with current registration with AHPRA and/or eligibility for membership of the relevant professional association if required.
- Demonstrated commitment to person centred care and NSW Health Core Values and experience of working in multidisciplinary teams to support the needs of children and families.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and highly developed customer service skills both face to face and over the phone.
Current NSW Driver’s Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
