St Pius X College, Chatswood is seeking to appoint an experienced, energetic, contemporary,
and innovative practitioner to lead the History and Legal Studies Department. The successful
applicant will be suitably qualified and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. Involvement
in the cocurricular life of the College is an essential condition of employment.
The successful applicant will:

- Teach a range of classes as appropriate for the position
- Be an innovative and engaging classroom practitioner
- Effectively integrate technology in teaching and learning
- Differentiate the curriculum to suit the student needs
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional learning
- Be an experienced, innovative and passionate leader of History and Legal Studies for
students from Year 7 to Year 12
- Lead and inspire a dynamic, dedicated and caring team of professional teachers
- Have the ability to maintain high standards for students, colleagues and the school
- Demonstrate a high level of organisational skills
- Implement and lead contemporary approaches to learning
Conditions of Employment
- Responsibility for teaching programs, assessment, reporting and resources in Years 7 -12
- Approximately 0.8 teaching/0.2 release time
- Coordinator 2 allowance
- An initial two-year appointment to the promotional position.
