Brighton Wine Bar is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team in Scarborough
Brighton Wine Bar is focused on high-quality food, premium Australian wine and warm, professional hospitality. We are looking for a chef who takes pride in their work, works well within a team and can consistently deliver dishes to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a consistently high standard
- Managing your designated section during service
- Completing daily food preparation and mise en place
- Assisting with ordering, stock rotation and inventory control
- Monitoring food quality, portion control and presentation
- Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and organisation
- Following food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures
- Minimising food waste and assisting with food cost control
- Working closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef and wider kitchen team
- Assisting with the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff
- Contributing to menu preparation and seasonal menu development
To be successful, you will ideally have:
- Relevant commercial cookery qualifications or equivalent industry experience
- Previous experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar position
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent attention to detail and presentation
- Availability to work a flexible roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
